GRUNERG is a calm pop ballad, without extremes in dynamics. It is relatively straightforward; the vibraphone part can be performed using only 2 mallets. The main challenge of the piece is the implementation of the theme, which is almost entirely based on triplet rhythms. It should be played very melodically, calmly, and sweetly.
